Sir,
After 37 years, i have very serious question...have been through period of life where I believed life is under my control and also been through a period where every thing seems to be destiny. I am confused between the two now.

on hrly chart, i shall say that this is not confirmed as yet. it is just a premature outlook

@ Crorepathi,

The need to have "control" is a sign of weakness. Strength need not come from having control. It should come from "surrendering to the flow".

@ Crorepathi,

Only a calm mind can deal with conflicting situations as it can seek out clarity effortlessly.

Meditate...strengthen your will and sharpen your skill.

Hello Crorepathi
it depends on how does one look at it. on a cursory outlook, it 'seems' that one has some kind of control on a limited number of things and affairs, and yet nobody has 'total' control on everything including one's bodily needs. one cannot resist hunger and thirst and sex so very easily. it is a long subject, needs separate discussion. the bhakti maargis say that everything is under the control of the creator alone.-----

Crorepathi
Classical Indian thought views it this way: every human being has three extremely strong wishes, a) to be all-powerful (omnipotent), b) acquire all knowledge (omniscient) and c) to move everywhere (omnipresent), which are nothing but special characteristics of the 'Self'.
