Choose magnificence over convenience.

There were once two ceiling painters who were hired for separate jobs. The first painter went in, put some drop sheets down and got straight to work slapping white paint on the ceiling. He was finished within a day. The second painter entered and looked at the ceiling that he was to work on. He went home and dreamed of something magnificent that he could do.

He called in scaffolders and went to work, taking four years of painstaking work to complete his masterpiece.

The first painter went to his next job and finished that one within a day as well. He ended up completing five ceilings that week. But no-one remembered his work or his name and most of it was painted over again in a few years time. He was just another painter doing what every other painter could do, with no ambition, no vision and no expertise.

The second painter went on to do other brilliant work and everyone recognises the name Michelangelo, even centuries after his death. He is universally admired for his impassioned style, known as terribilità, which created a sense of awe-inspiring grandeur and inspired generations of other artists.

Whatever we do with our lives, we have a choice. We can be like the first painter, going through the motions and doing ordinary, forgettable work that others can easily replicate.
Or we can be like the second painter, creating masterpieces that require commitment and passion.

And if you’re hiring someone to do a job, you can get the guy who paints a white ceiling within a day or hire the artist who takes his time to create a true piece of art.
Most organisations go for the short-term, cheaper option, but perhaps it’s time to aim higher and to choose magnificence over convenience.

And no, you can’t have both. The Sistine Chapel wasn’t painted in a day and you can’t compress greatness into an efficiency target.

You have a choice to make, now get painting.

Sistine Chapel ceiling work was carried out in extremely uncomfortable conditions, having to work with his head tilted upwards for longer duration standing on the scaffold.. definitely requires commitment and passion to paint history which can be alive for century.

Great Illango Sirji,

Thank God & you for this great site, this site has become a temple for all purposes (i.e. material & spiritual pursuits). The reason why I visit this site almost everyday reminds me of a story read somewhere as follows....

Quote

Why Go to the Temple?:

A 'devotee' wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to the temple. “I've gone for 30 years now,” he wrote, “and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 mantras. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the priests are wasting theirs by giving services at all.”

This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:

“I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to the temple for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!”

When you are DOWN to nothing..... God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! And thank God that we can still go to our temples, and that we have temples to go to. Let us not waste the opportunity. Let us go to our temples and absorb the Vedic knowledge and wisdom which nourishes our soul and fills the emptiness left from materialistic endeavors.

Cooldent,

Thanks once again for the mail with links.Read all of them. What i understand is that jnsar is meant for positional. we need to enter trades when prices clear jnsar and when 20 point stop loss is hit, we have to switch to old trade and if jnsar triggers again then again reverse it. i hope i got it right. pls confirm. only area which i still have doubt is about the filter you people are following for the consequent days. I may get that also cleared if i watch the live trading with you all. Thanks once again.

Thanks Ilango sir for the tireless service.
