Time correction could get completed by either Monday or Tuesday and hence any decisive corrective terminal fall should commence within a day.

as you said in premarket, nifty stuck in "CT", but to me it look like a descending triangle both in hour and daily t/f. and descending triangle is bearish pattern. the tgt for this (if support-horizontal line break) hight of the pattern, here approx 100 point i.e.5530. please guide if wrong.

looking at this whole top from 5720 marked red 3 in ur chart till yesterday afternoon there are uncanny time similarities between the excursions of price above 5630 levels.
21/9 to 27/9 = 4 and 1/2 trading days 5720-5639
28/9 to 5/10 = 4and 1/2 trading days 5639-5815
5/10 to 11/10= 4 and 1/2 trading days 5815-5637
12/10 to 17/10= 4and 1/2 trading days 5637-5633
such a symmetry! in between this range of 5815 to 5633
of the 4 moves 3 are ending at the same level of 5635ish and 2 are sideways 1 down and 1 up
till yesterday everything is symetrical like a perfect H&S.
if this symmetry in time is true markets should make it or break it today.
