Break the mould....Reach for the "Impossibles-of-the-world"...

"Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible." - Cherie Carter-Scott.
After finishing fourth, just out of medal contention in the 1500 meters of the 1952 Olympics, British track athlete Roger Bannister set a new goal. A goal that according to many was not only lofty, but humanly impossible. At the time, no one had ever run a sub-4 minute mile. No one. In fact, many so-called authorities said it simply couldn't be done. But Roger didn't seem to care.
You see, Bannister was disappointed after his performance in the 1952 Olympics. As one of the top runners in England, it was humiliating to not even win a bronze medal for the old empire. But instead of giving up, Bannister set out to do something that no one had done before. He trained, prepared, and sacrificed. One day, on May 6, 1954, to be exact, Bannister took the train from Paddington Station to Oxford where he was going to try and break the 4-minute barrier.
He almost didn't run that day because the weather looked bad: winds blew more than 25 miles an hour and the rain fell hard and heavy across the damp English countryside. But just before the race started, the wind died down and the rain stopped. Perhaps it was meant to be. Bannister and five other runners lined up and dug in their spikes. The gun fired and off they went - with one man running his way into the history books. After 3 laps, Bannister trailed another runner even as they rounded the final turn. Then, Bannister's training, willpower and self-belief kicked in. He sped up, passed everyone and won the race.
More important, he finished the race with a time of 3 minutes 59.4 seconds. He was the first man to run a mile in less than 4 minutes. Since that time, thousands of track athletes have run the mile in less than 4 minutes, and what's most interesting is that the sub-4 minute times came rolling in almost immediately after Roger first accomplished it.
Why then had no one ever accomplished it before? For years and years, no one, not a single person, was able to do it. Was it because they lacked ability? We don't think so. Nothing magical happened in 1954 to make human beings instantly faster. You see, the limitation was 100% mental.
And it took someone like Roger who didn't pay attention to what others thought was possible or impossible to remove that limit. And with that mental block removed, in came an INFLUX of sub-4 minute times.
In a more recent years, no one thought that a 6'5" lanky sprinter could ever be a true Olympic competitor (sprinters are naturally short and stocky). But although he didn't fit the typical sprinter build, Jamaican Usain Bolt set his mind on being an Olympic Champion at a young age. And in the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, Usain Bolt not only accomplished his dream of winning Olympic gold, but he did it while completely annihilating world records in both the 100 and 200 meters. And again he reigned #1 in 2012.
Stories like this really inspire me, because they remind me that truly anything is possible. Sometimes we are surrounded by so much negativity with the people around us placing limits on what we can accomplish, achieve, or be. You may be someone who has always struggled with your body, and maybe even your family has a long history of obesity. But you don't have to buy into that. Break the mould. Remove the limitations - those that others have tried to place on you, and most importantly, those that you've placed on yourself.
I dare you. See what happens. The fact is this: You are unique. There is some greatness inside of you. Wherever you are at, you can achieve more. A LOT more.
And here's another truth: The limitations that others have placed on you can only become reality if you believe them, too
Don't believe "them". It is, now, your turn to believe in "yourself". Today marks the day where you start thinking like Roger Bannister and Usain Bolt. You are in control of what you can and will one else is. Think of the life you truly WANT to have. Now believe it's possible, because it is. See yourself OWNING that life, because that's exactly where you are headed, starting right now. I believe in you. Get started toward the "impossible" today. You can do it.

master you been giving a lot of martial on mental strength... well received.... as traders spending more time in front of computer sitting hours and hours by neglecting their health... in fact some times back Rakesh Junjunwala regretted on the same fact on some tv show...

we have seen many prop desk companies training people with a strict exercise schedule as part of their daily schedule.... they understand that healthy body is healthy mind.... many of traders should consider this fact for long term benefits...

thanks for every thing...

The Nifty (5,944) too broke above the key short-term resistance at 5,862, but is pausing around the psychologically critical 6,000 mark. Short-term investors can hold their long positions as long as the index trades above 5,800. Declines to this level can also provide a buying opportunity for the short-term.

Next short-term target for the index is 6,112. If this level is breached, move to 6,300 is possible. The short-term trend will however turn negative on close below 5,685.

For the medium-term, the trend appears to be on the verge of reversing higher. We now need to see if the index is able to surpass the 6,100 level. Inability to move beyond will result in sideways move between 5,500 and 6,100 for few more months. Sharp break above 6,100 will mean a new high this calendar.

Consider buying Nifty Dec put option

K.S. Badri Narayanan
May 4, 2013:
F&O pointers: Open interest in Nifty Futures dropped along with fall in price on Friday.

This indicates that traders are nervous and do not want to carry over their positions. Option trading indicates that Nifty could face strong resistance at 6,000 and support at 5,800 and 5,700.

Trading pattern suggests that retail investors and brokers are bearish on Nifty even as foreign investors are building up long positions on the index. But on stock futures, FIIs remained bearish, though retail brokers and domestic mutual funds have taken bullish positions.

Volatility Index

The volatility index, though moderated a bit from its peak level, it is still holding at crucial level.

The index is currently hovering round 16 level. This suggests that still some scepticism is presence in the market.

Traders can buy either Nifty 6000 or 5500 December puts contract.

The latter closed at a premium of Rs 110.5 and the former at Rs 247. If Nifty falls sharply, then the premium of the put would start to rise.

If that happens on or around June, then the chance of premium going up sharply would be very high due to time value.

The maximum loss could be the premium paid.

Follow-up: Last week we had advised long strangle on Bank Nifty. Traders can hold it till expiry.
