The only way to approach is a combination of EW and TA.

respected llango sir
thanks for giving the formula for solving the problem
but sir i find it very difficult for labeling EW
in which time frame we should practice it sir

Ilango said...

@ dharmu mishra,

How many "Days" you are learning EW?

I have learnt it for 12 years; and still learning.....

Ilango said...

@ dharmu mishra,

EW Learning takes time.

Do not rush it; you'll spoil it.

Keep observing for a while; till it shows itself to you.

This is the best way to start.

Again, do not force it.

Ilango said...

@ dharmu mishra,

You can learn it from any T/F.

2 min to month or year.

For trading, use day T/F initially and only when well experienced, you could use lower T/F.

5 wave done at 5911 from 5700 in 5min chart? any EW expert guide?

dharmu mishra said...

respected llango sir
i was relating EW theory to human life we reach our peak of young life with the completion of impusive phase and then corrective phase starts which gvs correction to the body healthwise
from childhood till the top of impulsive phase
new teeth ,new hairs, brightness of skin, learn to walk
in corrective phase
teeth gone, hairs shed, dullness of skin,jt pain
if we see satyug dwapar treta kalyug
in satyug life span of rishis too high ,just before 2 generations 100 was possible
now drastic reduction of age limit this confirms our corrective phase of yug.
EW theory is superb

yaar...muze chakkar aa rahe he...kam se kam physiology ka khun to na karo!!!!

Ilango said...

@ Prithvi Raulji,

Yes. They help. Adding EW reduces errors. Even then, errors could creep in but they'll be minimal.

Sir,

In last SHORT trade, i have seen you mentioned partial profit was booked at 5700... is it only because of EW target?

Actually i was waiting for 5688 range.. (Gap) to trial my SL to 5700... but nifty surprised with 50 points move and i end up in partial profit booked at 5750 level...

Can we add any column in TT for possible EW targets, if possible? Just a random idea.. consider if it is worth to implement.

@ rose mary,

EW is a flowing one. It can never be captured in "Mechanical format".

dharmu mishra said...

dear anmpatel
dil pe nahi leta yaar i just shared my thoughts

Ilango said...

@ anmpatel,

It is quite simple:

There is a red "i,ii,iii,iv,1st wave(OR A wave). If it is "A" of zigzag, retrace shouldn't be more than 80%-6055. And if it is 1st wave, then the "2nd" could retrace even just 38% or 50% or even 98% but not 100%.

There is a green "abA" wave. A flat can retrace any amount, even more than 100%..

Dear Sir and Blog Mates:
Thanks Ilango Sir.
Quite interesting and very fascinating to see the application of rules and theories in trading. I am a novice and such a fool having lost around 3 lakhs in 2008 crash and never recovered. Just came across this site, very wonderful. I want to learn TA from basics and build a strong foundation. I am trying to self-learn something from this site, but unfortunately my clay mind is not assisting me. I am from Chennai. I kindly request the blog mates to suggest some good personal tutor here to start from scratch. Very sorry to disturb and thanks for your precious time.

anmpatel said...

so super-bullish only above 6142...?

rose mary said...

Pt,

See, the 1st for you should be.. developing faith that you can earn in markets... u need to stick to one method and trade.. practice it for some time, say 1 year.. once you started seeing profits on month basis... U can explore other ways( TA/EW) to maximize your profits.

Start with JNSAR trading.. check label section on right hand side.. u will find articles on same.
All the best!

@ anmpatel ji,,gujrati sings a punjabi song..a true indian blog..hahahaha

Ilango said...

@ Sagar,

Understand there are various studies followed here.

Some follow only one study; and some more than one.

I simply share my observations based on each one of such studies.

Only when an individual is confident, could he/ she can take a trade borne out of that confidence.

The effort here is to make a trader independent.

It would be quite tempting to state: Buy here; book out here; sell here and so on.

An independent trader who "learns here" would use my experiences and observations to understand "How to apply these studies successfully".
