Yes. Beyond relegions, swamiji was one of the early Indians who did the country proud abroad and preached "self confidence" even before the motivation theroies came out.

To me, he is the greatest son of India and offered himself to the entire world.
His teachings are beyond religion and highly practical next only to Bhagawat Gita.

It gives me lot of surprise! i cannot believe that a person can hail to this much height in his life after having his study at thirupparaiturai..am sorry if my comment offends you but i know the experiences of "madam"(மடம்)..i had my 10 years of schooling from "Vivekananda higher secondary school" at karur and i had very bad experiences about their way of handling pupil...am really motivated now after knowing that you hailed from same school..
@ assortZ - Me too proudly saying that " I studied at "Saradha Ramakrishna" There is no wonder, persons from Mutt Like schools and ordinary schools are achieving much height...
But, alas, if you see the newspaper nowadays people who are commiting suicide s from highly reputed schools /colleges, and highly educated people including drs, engineers, software,IIMB peoples like..(it donesnt mean that others r not committing suicide, but they are high %) Anybody can achieve anything, "Nothing is impossible". Great Example - Dr. ABDUL KALAM.
