I am making changes to sundar TA file. It weill now have all 50 nifty stock + nifty index + bank nifty index + it index.
I am also extending the date from mar 31 to dec 31. So this file can be used for another 9 months without problems.
Very tedious work, but so far I have modified for 27 stock. Before month is over i can make all the changes needed and submit to you.
Sir, bank nifty trade from friday hit stop loss. Very bgad luck as it just touched stop loss level for few mins and then started to rise.

I feel positional trades should have a "closing SL", though I feel it is upto the individual's choice.
"If it is rising madly", you should be happy..!!
Let me check on its TA and update in "Stockwealth" blog. Let me know the kind of period you are willing to hold or any "returns expectation".
Always search for the reasons you bought it...and if they are still valid such as good fundamentals, you must hold them.

I don't have any link to explain that trading. I just tried this link and got the levels to trade. Based on the levels, I did paper trading for a week and it worked out well. now I am doing it as part of regular trading.
My suggestion is to do paper trading based on the levels that you got for this trading (for few days). then apply it in the real world

We keep a SL based on the last pivot low. Often that low may get broken in intra and subsequently market resumes its original trend and move higher. Hence, positional playes who keep for more than 2 days keep a "Closing SL"..i.e., subsequent close should not be below the SL.
Some of the positional trades initiated in "Stockwealth" blog have hit the intraday the SL but may not hit the closing SL.

They are different in values. for Ex ABB 5-EMA High-EMA Low-EMA
840.47 847.37 829.15
AS PER UR FILE.
But as per my formulas which calculates EMA on close of last 5 days. the values are:-
853.91 853.91 819.25
so can you help me with your formulas and logic behind difference in values.

Just to add to Illango's comments on "closing SL"... I generally use the 3.00 to 3.30 TF to analyse all my positional holds and see if they have held/ broken supports.
I take action on such positions only in the last 30 mins of trade, if my mental stops for these positions have been violated, because as Illango explained, stocks tend to go past our stops during the day only to bounce back.
I have doubt if my internet is working or not as my terminal shows “ NF - 5133” for long time :)

Happy - The formula is the same as you will find in Sundar's/Ilango's tech files. Applying the same if the results are different please let me know. Will mail you the O,H,L,C values of ABB as I have to further validate.
If these values match with yours then I will have to check my output.

Markets have traded below VAL all day today, indicating sellers in control, but buyers have again supported 5100.
Globally also, US SPX should pullback 20-25 points, but we may not get mauch movement there today becuase of Fed day tomorrow.
So all indicators point to another 5100-5150 day tomorrow.

It is the solid steel like support which nifty gets by a gang supported by FIIs. whatever you sell it gets absorbed at 5133. nifty will retest its last high of 5300 for sure. me holding long at 5110.

If you see that during the day, your mental stop for the position is violated then you square off btw 3.00- 3.30,
The hedge is only the insurance for your long position for which you are willing to risk the entire premium for.(that's the proper definition of a hedge)
Eg long 5000 unitech stock
Long Unitech put at proper strike

If there is a +ve div, it should retrace a minimum to the area the +ve div started developing. Accordingly, the minimum target should be 165 to 180.

tcs i bought 102 shares in ipo for rs 850/share. i did not sell last time when it went to 1390. actually i placed order to sell for 1400 (35 PE)in jan 2007 when results were very good, but pure bad luck that share only touched 1390 and startedfalling to 410.

But these are the value areas for tomorrow:
5137-5136-5127.
Over the years I have found that different softwares give different values. The truth is that the correct values depend on the accuracy of the data provided.Tick data will provide you a different value as compared to 1 minute or 5 minute data.
I use tick data as my data feed becuase it captures all the volume of all trades accurately. I am aware that NSE does not provide accurate trades per tick, but actually a snapshot of what trades take place.So even my values may not be a 100 % accurate projection of actual value, but rest assured that the deviation is not much.
