DR Sir,

@ Indus,

As Anil pointed out, 61.8% retracement of last fall @ 4795 was another resell area besides the Noon's 4830 or the subsequent break of pivot. Though it is below all emas, hour highly OS with +ve div and Day lead coming below 20 mark, the late bears need to be careful. We don't favour talking "Trend is your friend" at the exhaustion point.

If falling wedge( as per morning's discussion), then the range keeps getting narrowed. One need to take profits at regular intervals.

POWERTRADE said...

@DR Sir,

Also Navratra Over today and roasted papad kya with :):)

Ilango said...

@ Hitendra,

Nifty has travelled 3/4th distance of the current channel. Below 4740, it will continue down towards 4650. But if it moves past 4800, then it will move up creating another upward channel.

4740 break or 4800 break - On Friday.... Both looks possible.

If one is short from higher level, he'll carry shorts, having part booked along the way.

To create new positions, I would suggest to wait as it could go either way.

Hi..Ranga,

Whenever a short term average (here the 5 SMA) comes
closer to a medium or a long term average
(here the 200 SMA) and turns down without crossing it,
there are chances of a fast fall. So watch it.

TED spread

The long term average of the TED has been 30 basis points with a maximum of 50 bps.
During 2007, the subprime mortgage crisis ballooned the TED spread to a region of 150-200 bps. On September 17, 2008, the TED spread exceeded 300 bps, breaking the previous record set after the Black Monday crash of 1987.[3] Some higher readings for the spread were due to inability to obtain accurate LIBOR rates in the absence of a liquid unsecured lending market.[4] On October 10, 2008, the TED spread reached another new high of 457 basis points.

BDI Baltic Dry Index
Changes in the Baltic Dry Index can give investors insight into global supply and demand trends. This change is often considered a leading indicator of future economic growth (if the index is rising) or contraction (index is falling) because the goods shipped are raw, pre-production material, which is typically an area with very low levels of speculation.
