Instead of a SL, book out @ 5235-5240 zone or @ 5222(23.6%) once.
OR trail it with a SL of 5282.
OR as a positional with a SL of 5295 for a target of 5222 or 5175.

A close below 5251(Day High ema) will be comfy for short term bears.

Nifty did not close below 5251 on Friday.
Even if you had carried it forward, you should have closed at the open, cutting the losses.
As long as the daily momentum is strong, the "shorting" in the short term should not be held for longer term.
It has entered the OB zone. Positional shorts advised?

Prabhakar, By the news and operators doing their job,It looks like 5310-20 is the lower level we could possibly see today and sometimes it is wiser to take loss to avoid gap ups in coming sessions. I dont see any bad news on card and until 5399, Profit booking may wait. choice is urs.

Amid all these chaos of requests, etc....we tend to miss the undertone of SIR'S....he was strongly advocating caution while initiating shorts or carrying them...
I remember him telling us repeatedly that the DAY is strong..THE UPTREND CAN CONTINUE..
and its visible today.............My sincere request to all those who depend on him completely is to just STICK TO HIS WORDS blindly if you dont want to read too much....that will make your life !!

I made a "simple error" in my PreMarket view of Friday: Instead of writing "Part book", I typed it as "Book Profits", being a conservative trade.
Nifty is at the "Channel top resistance" around 5350. Use any dips to enter longs.

ka - "rar" is a zip/unzip utility as I know. It is not a file format as xls or doc. Did u try unzipping it?

Check the "Nifty Spot Hour" at the right side of this blog. Look at the 9.00 a.m. box. you will get the details of OHLC for 10.00 am close. 10.00 am box will give details of 10 to 11 and so on.

My OI chart has gone completely blank! Help!

Right click OI chart. Change data range for the strike prices that you want to monitor, example: A24:e30 etc. Then chage Legend Entries to Call, Put etc. instead of Series 1, 2 etc. It is very simple and straightforward.

if it consolidates between 5250-60 during this
hour the upper limit would stretch to 5390.
The market looks very strong and all set to
make new high (beyond 5399) one can buy even at this
level, NF 5366 SL 5355 for 5390
one should ignore the overbought scenario in
daily stochastics & rsi as storng momentum
of the market would take it higher in spite
of it being overbought

in an uptrend like this sensex often goes
on to gain 500 points. It may try to approach
18000 today, which will take nifty to around 5390.

As per our analysis, break past "9635" would give BN a break out from resistances. You are right about trailing your longs.
But congratulations to you for "holding longs" over the week end.
This time we are seeing some "fast rise MA" set up in weekly. Big stocks are breaking out and making some major moves.

Nifty has a channel resistance at the current level.
1. It can overshoot the channel.
2. It can trade sideways, thereby make more room to move higher to the rising channel.
An aggressive trader may sell here with a small SL. Only for short period.
