ILLANGO SIR,
In GTL INFRA chart, 5d sma crossed 20d sma which is a bullish sign , but thereafter priceaction is sideways for 3 dyas, 20 d SMA is still pointing down, volume action has dropped
How would you interpret such a set up?

We are traders, not forecasters. It is our job to follow the market. While I have been consistently holding that we are going lower, it is the market which decides what it wants to do. A move above 5150 (as explained above) will then become a buy on dips trade

Humble Pie
The markets teach us to be humble, all the time. On Monday, I suggested on CNBC that the Nifty (then at 4990) was unlikely to go back to 5150 this month. Just four days later the market proves me wrong. That is not an issue, since the market will have its own mind, and we do adapt to the market. The problem is: why should I even think about what the market will do or not do? Why not just follow the setups / signals? When I start getting these periods of overconfidence, the market shows me my place and keeps me humble for the next few months

@stok4sure , please dont use caps to comment and GB uncle cannot predict the market u have to go with the flow i.e look at the prices.

@ Mash,

Once a short term average has moved above a medium term average, the effort results in fatigue reflected as a pull back or a sideways move. If there is strength, it should start move higher soon. The decline in volume is typical of corrective phase where bulls & bears try to figure out the strength/ weakness of each other.

@ ssham,

In candle stick analysis, if the close is lower than the open, it will be shown as Red candle inspit of gapping up and ending positive to previous day's close.

Read some basics of "Candle stick analysis" -they are simple and quite picturesque in their messages.

@stock4sure,

As lazydude says, don't put pressure on the poor GB to keep up his style of predicting, just one comment before yours is a critic of it in 'AM'.

Sometimes I wonder how much predictors are spurred on by their predictees. I see GB getting too much encouragement here to be a Houdini - his fans need him to pull a Nifty rabbit out of the hat, or he'd stop.

It's hard to resist for an accommodating nature/ego and I'd have done as much if I saw desperation.:D Be kind to GB and don't set him back by 10 yrs in learning the gruntwork of trading.

Dear Ilango,
You have a knack to put a different complexion on market activities.” The decline in volume ……..” Was the forgotten by me, but the most useful one in now-a day’s environment.Thanks.
