"Doing" it and "Enjoying" it "NOW"..!!

We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another.
Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough, and that all will be well when they are older.
Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with them. Surely we’ll be happier when they grow out of the teen years.

We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retire.

The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now.
If not, then when?
Your life will always be full of challenges. It is better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all.

For the longest time, it seemed that life was about to start. Real life.
But there was always some obstacle along the way, an ordeal to get through, some work to be finished, some time to be given, a bill to be paid. Then life would start.
I finally came to understand that those obstacles were life.
That point of view helped me see that there isn’t any road to happiness. Happiness IS the road.
So, enjoy every moment.

Stop waiting for school to end, for a return to school, to lose ten pounds, to gain ten pounds, for work to begin, to get married, for Friday evening, for Sunday morning, waiting for a new car, for your mortgage to be paid off, for spring, for summer, for fall, for winter, for the first or the fifteenth of the month, for your song to be played on the radio, to die, to be reborn… before deciding to be happy.
Happiness is a voyage, not a destination.
There is no better time to be happy than… NOW! Live and enjoy the moment.

Be happy where you are now
Happiness, more than anything, is a choice we make every day
Happiness is understanding the things we can’t change yet and working on those we can
Put a smile on your face. It changes how you think.
Whatever you get, accept it and deal with it
Problems = Catalyst to take Action
Put everything you have into whatever you are doing now
It’s not what you get. It’s what you become that matters
No one else is going to make you happier. Work on yourself.

Happy Morning Ilango sir,

"Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it".

- Groucho Marx

Trying and hoping i would reach to this stage of hapiness!!!

Real happiness is the substratum on which our usual happiness and sadness play out their part. Your real Self is also identical with that real happiness. Realize that and be always happy.

"People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within."

Hi Ilango,

Thanks for appreciating my contributions to this blog (though I am afraid I don't contribute much enuff in terms of levels and trades etc..)....

I am off to Shimla for a week... needed time to be with my family as they were already there for a month now without me!!!

Leaving a link here for all the blogmates to make use of their Sunday....this link had been very useful to me and I certainly hope many will find it equally educative as I have found it to be (especially the quotes and THE TRADER bit by Ayn Rand).....

Hi Manoj

I read the above sharemasterindia.com link provided by you and picked up a quote from that very much apt to share markets.

"The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy. To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy
is provided by the enemy himself."

Thanks for sharing the link with us

we come across lots and lots of readings and one day it becomes a habit to ignore all the readings because we feel kind of "over loaded"..i truly admit that i cant pass the articles here in Just Nifty with same mind set as it speaks to our hearts..

today's article exactly represents my mind and attitude like " everything will be alright one day"..i believe its a common mindset with most of the younger generation.. though i have realised long back the fact of "live the present" ..couldn't follow/feel it consistently.. but this article is like "arjuna's arrow"..its very well injected to my heart and mind and thanks sir for such nice sharings and enriching us..

Here is something I picked sometime ago from the internet regarding happiness -

If you observe a really happy man you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing double dahlias in his garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the Gobi desert. He will not be searching for happiness as if it were a collar button that has rolled under the radiator. He will not be striving for it as a goal in itself. He will have become aware that he is happy in the course of living life twenty-four crowded hours of the day.

Lovely quote, dangi. I think I'll keep it around.:)

@Trying2Trade, you must be one of Ilango's earliest supports on blogging, right? I remember you from way back when he started.:)

Hey
visiting this blog is our real pleasure. Should like to thank admin for sharing such a useful information and starting this thread in addition to that we suggest traders not to panic when Nifty is in profit booking state. Investors and traders should understand that in volatile stock market conditions they should switch to swing trading.

Good Day
