Dii buy 654 cr..
sir...what is that level of 5105-155 you have marked in red in chart ? What is the importance of that level ? Kindly help me understand.
regards
Ilangoji,
I am trying to answer "Market"'s query. If my explanation is wrong, please correct me for my learning.
The importance of 5105-5155 is to decide whether we be be making a new high or not.
If the market breaks this threshold and sustain above 5155, then we may make new high and the current labeling a-b-c remain valid.
If we are not able to cross 5155, then market may go for another low and the labeling which is currently given a-b-c, may change to 1-2-3-4-5. The 4th will be below 5155…and we may go below 4980 and make a new low between 4800-4950. This may change the outlook of the market to negative in medium term.

Sir,
In various charts , for example 5 min, 20 min, 30 min etc if one is showing falling wedge and another showing raising wedge, another showing H&S like that , what the pattern we have to take -long term with short term .For example to day 30 min falling wedge like that is there .Whether we can reach 5200 and how to identify the charting pattern in the long time . Any software is there by inter plotting various probabilities to identify the pattern. ( if nifty reaches 4900 then how the chart will be there -RSI.MACD and the implications in various time pattern ) (Perhaps RG might have cracked his brain and invented for this )
Thanks for the boring question. By the by what will be the blog to morrow, Any body guessed
1oth May MP Values VAH- 5019 POC- 5015 VAL- 5006 *Nifty future price
@Ilango,
You wrote on 10th Jan 2010 under the title:
Elliot wave "Principle" , "Rules & Guidelines".(Part-3)
In this you said fractals that Wave A can have is either 3 or 5, Wave B will have 3 fractals always and Wave C will have 5 fractals always.
In your above labeling Larger C should have 'd' followed by 'e' to complete Wave C.Hope my understanding is on track.
Best
Helo
I'm pretty confident we will see new highs by July 7

VIX seems to have touched 42 mark, intraday, US markets are all atleast 1% down, gold trading firmly above $1200 level, SGX nifty @ 4970 level.. Will these have any negative impact on Indian markets on Monday?
It is liooking like Dow wants to keep going down and down. I am worried when I xcan get out of long posn created at 5077 on thursday
@BALA
I don't know of any software, sorry, but it seems to me that when I see two or more patterns that are contradictory, especially around a support or resistance, it's better to wait for confirmation: H&S has a neckline, wedges breakout/down, etc.
Across time-frames I think the longest (say, 30 min) has precedence over the shorter (20, 5 min).
I figure even patterns have an order of importance - H&S > Doubletop > Saucer > Island Reversal > Symmetrical triangle > wedge > Flag based on reliability.
@KGovind,
Nifty looks like it'll bounce upto 5080 before wednesday. With turbulence you'll have many attempts on the upside. Relax and enjoy your weekend in the meantime.:)
Dear Yoda, do you mean to say that it is going to be a tough job for the bulls to get going, even to 5080? If yes, do you see more slide before an up move? As mentioned in my previous comment, all those factors, are they going weigh against the bulls on Monday? Your comment is much appreciated regarding this. Thank you.
Yoda Sir
Thanks. If you have any example of various time patterns formation at a particular point ( or come across in your trading experience )and how you have given precedence over one another in deciding the movement of index etc. No urgency.Take it your own time and give a write up so that all will be benefited

Gautam are you an astro or tantrik? I mean predicting a date. No offence.
Clearly there is something wrong with fundaments of all the videshi banks.New bear market coming up.Period.
@ Lazydude
Two possibilities Gautam might be opting:
a) Fibonacci Time extensions
b) Pitchfork Channel price and time projection
Lets await final word from Gautam.
Another option : Gann Square of 9
@tClick
I don't like to predict the markets because I'm as often wrong as right. But the bulls have been struggling over 3 days to turn it around and each attempt met with vicious selloffs - it looks like it will be very slow going for them.
>>If yes, do you see more slide before an up move?
Slides are definitely the direction of impulse.
>>As mentioned in my previous comment, all those factors, are they going weigh against the bulls on Monday?
Yes.
This is how I see it when volatility is high - moves in both directions take out the tighter stops, so it's a matter of capital and holding power for the big guys.
@BALA

http://www.tradingpricepatterns.com/ gives patterns over a month or more.
Bollinger covers the time it takes for each pattern well in his book.
More recently in my reading, Nauzer Balsara assesses them as I've said (H&S > Doubletop > Saucer > Island Reversal > Symmetrical triangle > wedge > Flag) from a money perspective after Edwards-Magee's famous 'Technical Analysis of Stock Trends' (which I still haven't read).
This last arrangement makes a lot of sense - most traders recognise H&S best, so are more likely to react to it, followed by a double or triple top, etc. Pattern recognition is key to human brains.
