From the "June series" discount, it is obvious most of the shorts are rolled over and what must be left in the system will be "the stuck bulls" and they are "hoping over hopes" for an "exit" and many did not exit at yesterday's rally, again hoping for higher levels.
"These bulls alone" with their weight bring the mkt down.

on the chart u posted positive divergence starts from bottom at 5000 goes to 4900 than 4850 (5000 to 4900) is not marked. After 4900 there was ema cross at which I took a long next morning it gapped down and more divergence was formed. Then it worked nifty went to 5029.
Do we have to learn EW to trade divergences profitably. I cannot distinguish between why we shud not trade frm 4900 and why 4850.

A + ve div should have two distinct points in the oscillator with the latest point at a higher level while the prices make two distinct points with the recent price making new lows - which is not there in the recent fall but it is OS(Oversold).
You could argue for a larger divergence in the chart. But I use 5-min chart only for those particular time. For larger time cycle, I would prefer Hour & day.

OI decreasing with prices declining can only be "Longs unwinding" - as bulls are generally in loss in this series.
If tomorrow also moves lower(most likely), then a reversal is possible on the settlement day.
I just remind myself continuously that "Larger trend is down...Major channels are broken"...so play the shorts. Let the TA buy emerges or a daily +ve div to trade the longs.

this is just a wild calculation and no EW is followed...
