The injured becoming inspirational to many..

Molly is a grey speckled pony who
was abandoned by her owners when Hurricane
Katrina hit southern Louisiana . She spent weeks
on her own before finally being rescued and taken
to a farm where abandoned animals were stockpiled.

While there, Molly was attacked by a pit bull terrier
and almost died. Her gnawed right front leg became
infected, and her vet went to LSU for help, but
LSU was overwhelmed, and this pony was a welfare
case. You know how that goes.

But after surgeon Rustin Moore met Molly, he
changed his mind. He saw how the pony was
careful to lie down on different sides so she didn't
seem to get sores, and how she allowed people to
handle her.

She protected her injured leg. She
constantly shifted her weight and didn't overload
her good leg. She was a smart pony with a serious
survival ethic.

Moore agreed to remove her leg below the knee,
and a temporary artificial limb was built. Molly
walked out of the clinic and her story really
begins there.

"This was the right horse and the right owner," Moore insists. Molly happened to be a
one-in-a-million patient.
She's tough as nails, but sweet, and she was willing to cope with pain.
She made it obvious she understood that she was
in trouble.

The other important factor, according
to Moore , is having a truly committed and compliant
owner who is dedicated to providing the daily care
required over the lifetime of the horse.

Molly's story turns into a parable for life in
 Post-Katrina Louisiana.

The little pony gained weight, and her mane finally felt a comb.
A human prosthesis designer built her a leg.

"The prosthetic has given Molly a whole new life,
" Allison Barca DVM, Molly's regular vet, reports.

"And she asks for it. She will put her little limb out,
and come to you and let you know that she wants
you to put it on. Sometimes she wants you to take
it off too." And sometimes, Molly gets away from
Barca. "It can be pretty bad when you can't catch
a three-legged horse," she laughs.

Most important of all, Molly has a job now. Kay,
the rescue farm owner, started taking Molly to
shelters, hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation
centers... anywhere she thought that people needed
hope.

Wherever Molly went, she showed people
her pluck. "It's obvious to me that Molly had a bigger role to
play in life," Moore said. She survived the hurricane,
she survived a horrible injury, and now she is giving
hope to others."

Barca concluded, "She's not back to normal, but
she's going to be better...
To me, she could be a
symbol for New Orleans itself."

This is Molly's most recent prosthesis.

The photo shows the ground surface that she stands on,
which has a smiley face embossed in it. Wherever
Molly goes, she leaves a 'smiley' hoof print behind.

Cute & Inspiring.

I just wanted to add a interview statement from our own Sachin Tendulkar..."When pressure builds up in the game I try to focus on the next ball with calmness without thinking
of the future course of the match".

Something to remind yourself and your kids on how champions think.

Have a nice weekend.

Sir,
Another gem. Thank you. Spooling data for the fresh series data (June Futures) is taking some time and will send the file by EOD today.

Anuj & Friends - Dear mynac informed emailed that he had just then received message about the passing away of his Brother in Law-and was rushing home. (After clarifying OI query). I thought it necessary to share the sad info with Sir and You - since this place has become an extended family to us all.

As you all said - We will pray to God to give him the strength. btw, my own BIL is in the hospital and refusing to undergo bypass surgery. Unable to argue - he is Manu's clan - a LAWYER. Just told him inside the hospital Doctors are Judges, and your rejection of judgement tantamounts to contempt of court. Very worried with passage of time - he wants to get back home finish all pending works in 2-3 months time, then decide about the surgery.
Praying to God to give me and wife the patience not to blow out and win this war of attrition.

Dear Kumar,

God Bless you.
Will show him your recommendation. What I understood from the Doctors at Appolo is that he is having clot in two arteries and has over looked minimum 1 attack in the past. His luck is that the heart has created its own by-pass thro' fresh blood flow passage. Hope adopting due procedure I can bring him around for your personal attention. Precaution of diet-mmm...
He loves food - jumps from hotel to hotel for specific dishes. Rasam vadai ...hotel, Sambar vadai ... hotel, Tandoori ....hotel. Being a much sort after Lawyer, his known clients wanting priority appointments call him and say "can we meet at ...hotel ? The ... very good. He drops all work and rushes. Not a QUANTITY eater but a QUALITY eater. Must ZIP and Lock his mouth when he goes out. But we can't do it - since he is a LAWYER and makes money TALKING.

Dear RG!

Dont worry! He will be highly benefitted by this medicine in heart problem. If he will be interested then i will tell him some more medicine as per his individual constitution. Some people r food lover, i m also one of them. When u were telling about his visits, mouth watering taste i was feeling. Its an individual choice & medicine will take care of him, so whenever he is in mood contact me at my mail id & i wl give my personal mobile no. to talk, then it will be more better to treat him. But for God sake just start Diacard Gold drop from today, from this minute itself anyhow.

Sir (just a post)

IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!
A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and
set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the
post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the eyes of little boy.
"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "These puppies come
from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a
handful of change and held it up to the farmer.
"I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take
a look?"
"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle.. "Here, Dolly!" he called.
Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.
The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the
dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.
Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up...
"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe.
Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands."
With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup.
Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.
"How much?" asked the little boy. "No charge," answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love.."

The world is full of people who need someone who understands..
It's National Friendship Week. It is all our friends @ this blog

dear mynac,

It is my/our prayer:

Almighty God our heavenly Father, graciously comfort your servant in his suffering, and bless the means made use of for his cure. Fill his heart with confidence that, though at times he may be afraid, he yet may put his trust in you;

Strengthen your servant. O God, to do what he has to do and bear what he has to bear; that, accepting your healing gifts through the skill of surgeons and nurses, he may be restored to usefulness in your world with a thankful heart;

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servant and give your power of healing to those who minister to his needs, that he may be strengthened in his weakness and have confidence in your loving care;

Sanctify, O Lord, the sickness of your servant that the sense of his weakness may add strength to his faith and seriousness to his repentance; and grant that he may live with you in everlasting life;

May God the Father bless you, God the Son heal you, God the Holy Spirit give you strength. May God the holy and undivided Trinity guard your body, save your soul, and bring you safely to his heavenly country; where he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
