@Yoda:Very good morning...

I don't know much knowledge. I am back bench-er. Just following JNSAR..If SL hits, I am reversing the trade on same day

Prabhat said...

@Nifty: I think Yoda meant 10% of ur investment as SL.
Ex: ! lot of NF = ~26k, 10% of it = 2.6k = 25 pts

Yoda said...

Prabhakar,

Reversing trade works out for you profitably?

Ilango said...

@ prakashbkc,

JNSAR nos; Nifty Close are spot levels BUT

Trades are as per NF.

Yoda said...

Thanks, Prabakar, but in truth I put it in unthinkingly.:)

Now thinking back, 1%-3% was what they originally thought was safe. 20 pts works as well as 10% of your bet.

nifty said...

@Prabhat,

2.6K = 52 nifty pts

Nilesh said...

@Nifty and @Prabhakar,

First show that you are better than Sukhani and then call him whatever.

You are the bigger joker if you call somebody one, without proving you are capable of tying his showlaces also.

Please first prove your self and then throw stones at others.

Namaste Ilango Sir and JN Family

Prabakar said...

Good Morning Yoda Mam,

After a very long time Happy to see you(May be i would missed in between) :)

Yoda said...

sorry, that was to Prabhat*, not Prabakar.

gm, Prabakar - i've been trolling the trading blogs esp. JN for a week or so now. How've you been?:)

nifty said...

@Nilesh,

You are the biggest joker !

If one can criticize Dhoni only if he is better
than Dhoni, then you are deluding yourself.
Barring a few, the entire nation is calling for
Dhoni's head.

I bet you didn't lose a single paisa during the
Satyam scam. Lose Lakhs of Rs because a joker
insists that the "money is in the bank". Then
come and tell me how you feel.

Prabhakar said...

@Yoda: When 2 or 3 whipsaws are there on the same day, I get irritated and don't do the final trade. By end of the day, I feel that I could have traded the last attempt.

golfdude said...

Below pivot. Watch for 5169 ( DHEma ).

Prabakar said...

@Yoda mam,

I was away from trading for more than 2 weeks now as my MIL passed away on 19th Jan. 12.
so trying to fit in back. Missed most of the action.

Yoda said...

I doubt if there's anyone in the mkt who doesn't feel there's one more attempt there, Prabhakar.:)

Consider yourself lucky, Prabakar, the action was mostly in the gaps.

Prabhakar said...

@Nilesh: Who ever gets loss due to somebody, then what is wrong if they comment.

Prabhat said...

@Nifty: Sorry yaar. I think u got the point

Amol007 said...

good mrng Masterji ,Dini bhai and friends .

Nifty mostly trading below day's pivot 5178 .

golfdude said...

@yoda - I used to be like that - timing tops and bottoms.
But I have learnt from the wise that it is a fool's
game. So now just trading ( paper trading ) levels
and some Fibo for profit booking.

Nilesh said...

@ Nifty,

People like you will piss in your pants when someone will hold a leather ball in their hands and run upto to bowl at 150 kmph, but will sit in you armchairs and pass judegement on Dhoni and the rest of the world.Get off that superiority complex which gives you the right to critcise everyone just because he is in the public domain. I bet you will not do it to your brother if he was there

So what if that guy said a wrong thing during satyam. he did not force you to put money just gacve his opinion.You should have done your own diligence and invested. Shows the kind of person you all are ... Blame others for your failures. I bet if you had made truckloads of money on some good advice you would call it your hard work.

nifty said...

@Nilesh,

I studied @ St Bede's. While I may not have faced
someone who would have bowled 150 kmph (nobody in
india does), I used to play my cricket with someone
who went on to play for India.

When the money is not in the bank, what right does
Tulsian has to insist that the money is there. Had
this been the US, his ass would have been sued.

Amol007 said...

Bhailog ......... Fight with Market not amongst :)

nifty said...

Using the same logic on yourself, what right do
you have to criticize me? Are you any better
than myself? I don't think so.

Prabhakar said...

@Dinesh Rishi: Nice one Sir. Yesterday you were busy, is it?

Yoda said...

Good point, Nilesh(must do my bit to keep a jn fight club in working condition ;).

gd, I've come up with a tamer method too, but discipline and a trading 'less is more' is a very difficult thing to stick to.

Debate with out those "excessive emotions" and improper name calling..

Use those excessive emotions to emphasis your points with more facts.

Nifty has bared the "myth" many holding that TV analysts are supreme. They are not.. Some of them are good. The compulsion to talk about the markets all the time make them transgress from objectivity and into some sensationalism.

It is your money. Become independent.

And if you depend on them, then, bear with their inconsistencies.

Nilesh said...

@ Nifty,

Bro I'm not criticizing you , just asking you not to do the same to someone who is not here and may not have the right to respond.

U don't have a case against Tulsian simply because he gave a view , not professional advice. Besides u din't pay for it.As for the US, Jim Cramer is a fool in many an eye but CNBC runs on his popularity.Incidentally his advice also never works.

nifty said...

Nilesh,

You ain't my brother.

@nifty
Hi, regarding Sudarshan (and technical analysis) they usually change their short term view with 2-3% change in index, that's the case with the incident that you mentioned.

Regarding Satyam, it was technically week much before the news broke out, fundamentally we need to diversify our portfolio (other risk management techniques like hedging) to decrease the impact of such incidents. Value investing is the best way to find a stock, our portfolio should be at a discount to nifty so that it has some edge. We need to accept the fact that "we don't know what will happen", nobody knows, including Tulsian ji. On TV you have to present a bold/confident face, otherwise you will not be on TV.

All the best

Yoda said...

True, AJ. I think TV analysts as much as trade blogs suffer unnecessarily when they're forced to be confident of their methods. Showing uncertainty is as natural as doubt, but is unsuitable to the spoken and written media.

Bounce of DHEma is also a possible trade ( buy and hold ). I feel
these are times for very aggressive trades ( with
strict SL ). My 2 cents.

@ilango sir,

I am thinking of this as a possible trade setup -

short at 5165 for a 5093 target ( DHEma - DLEma ).
This might fit in the w4 C wave.

Thoughts ?

Yesterdays
Rohit update

NIFTY - CHANGES HAVE BEEN MARKED IN YELLOW

Time

Target

Trend

Reversal

Trend Implication
SHORT TERM

5285

Up

5070

1-5 Days

The Nifty is in wave v of III of C and could go up to 5285 in this move. After
that a wave IV consolidation could take time as a triangular structure unfolds
Also wave with lots of stocks completing v wave rallies its time for a breather
however extentions cannot be ruled out, movements should become more stock
specific here on.

@nifty ....

Everybody changes colour with prices... even on JN
including all seniors they play where prices go... if
he also changes his colours then what is wrong.

Ilango said...

@ Sanjay,

Yesterday Intraday OI update showed huge PE writing.

Today Intraday OI update shows huge CE writing.

Overall for the month PE writing is more.

Master,

Any advice those who missed this rally? It is very hard to take long after this 4 week rally.

mynac said...

Big Volume trades early in the morning bet. 5180-5190 only and negligible turnover in NF since morning.

SAM said...

prakashbkc..... Very Good Question :)

mynac said...

Typo,
please read “negligible addition in NF…” instead of turn over

SAM said...

prakashbkc Very Good Question....:)

Sanjay Jaiswal said...

Dear Ilango Sir,

True Sir, and today also there has been good addition seen at 5200-5000PE, though it maybe some buying also.
But the support at 5000 and 5100 is increasing by the day.

Thanks & Regards

rajnish kumar said...

is there fast fall setting up in nifty daily between 5 and 200 sma ? what will be the confirmation. can any body suggest.

Ilango said...

@ prakashbkc,

Follow JNSAR.

I have given my macro view yesterday.

Above 5205, strength.

Presently the correction is on...Will get confirmed below 21 & 34 Hr Sma. Struggling to stay above Day pivot-5178.

mynac said...

Dear Sanjay,
I, myself used to give more importance for “PE “writing, than “CE” writing as ”Firm stand” taken by buyers, is my understanding for the same, because it is brave step and against the gravity law, nevertheless when Buyers act like this means “ They have decided or know what they want to do.
After yesterday’s huge writing in 51 & 5200 PE probably Buyers are waiting and judging sellers here that “still how much they can, or want to sell in this Region.

prakashbkc said...

thanx master,one more thing may u please specify correction is going on which time frame? it's day or hr time frame?

thanx SAM sir, for encouraging ..
