Each of us can also make every act and every breath into a process of giving – seeing how we can contribute to everything around us, no matter what we are doing. In just 24 hours, we will be so rich that the experience of life, the beauty of life, will set a glow on our face because that is the only way life functions. The whole process of life is a giving. It is a transaction. In every giving there is a taking. We are taking more than we are giving, but in your mind, just ignore the taking. You just keep giving because you do not have to take; it will be pushed into you.
There was a man who cleared one hundred acres of forest and made it into farmland. His two sons helped him and they became prosperous. When the man was dying, he called his two sons and told them that the land should never be divided, but the produce should be taken equally, fifty percent, by each son.
Accordingly, they went by their father’s word. One of the brothers got married and had five children. The other one never got married. Life went on and they each took fifty percent. One day, a thought entered the mind of the brother who had a wife and five children: "I'm getting fifty percent; my brother is also getting fifty percent. But I have a wife and five children while my brother has nobody. When he gets old, who will take care of him? He should have a little more than me because I have the wealth of my children. But he is too proud; he will not take it from me." So in the dark of the night, he carried a bagful of grain quietly and walked into his brother’s store, dropped this bag and walked back. Whenever he could, he went on doing this.
The same thought also entered his brother's mind. He thought, "I am alone, my brother has five children to feed and I am getting fifty percent, but if I give him extra, he will not take it." So he started doing the same thing at night. This went on for many years and both of them never noticed. One night, both of the brothers carrying sacks of grains in secrecy walked towards each other's storehouse and came face to face. Suddenly, they realized what was happening.

A VERY INSPIRATIONAL VIDEO WINNING BEST SHORT FILM AWARD IN IIT &NIT & SCREENED IN GOA FILM FESTIVAL ------THEME OF THIS MOVIE-----------
How many of us feel subjugated , disheartened and helpless at the inequality in society today , and seek the desire to vindicate ourselves ? We might witness everyday events that are shocking demonstrations of apathy and feel the need to step up and make a difference ; but how many of us actually follow through ?It is this feeling of resentment that has brought a film deploring the state of humanity today , and how anybody can make a change in someone else's life if they just try .Our movie is called EVANO ORUVAN . The title speaks for itself . It's the story of thecommon man - he could be the guy sweeping your house, the kid wiping the table in a hotel,or the boy selling stickers at a traffic signal. Since we're all in college , we know how important the value of an education is ; it is precisely this sentiment we've stressed upon. Our film dwells on how a single act of clemency can change a person's future entirely , and inspires him\her totake heart from this and act as a stepping stone for someone.

An Interesting blog by Pritish Nandy........
I was an MP not very long ago. I loved those six years.
Everyone called me sir, not because of my age but because I was an MP.
And even though I never travelled anywhere by train during those years, I reveled in the fact that I could have gone anywhere I liked, on any train, first class with a bogey reserved for my family.
Whenever I flew, there were always people around to pick up my baggage, not because I was travelling business class but because I was an MP.
And yes, whenever I wrote to any Government officer to help someone in need, it was done. No, not because I was a journalist but because I was an MP.
The job had many perquisites, apart from the tax free wage of Rs 4,000. Then the wages were suddenly quadrupled to Rs 16,000, with office expenses of Rs 20,000 and a constituency allowance of Rs 20,000 thrown in. I could borrow interest free money to buy a car, get my petrol paid, make as many free phone calls as I wanted. My home came free. So did the furniture, the electricity, the water, the gardeners, the plants. There were also allowances to wash curtains and sofa covers and a rather funny allowance of Rs 1,000 per day to attend Parliament, which I always thought was an MP's job in the first place! And, oh yes, we also got Rs 1 Crore a year (now enhanced to Rs 2 Crore) to spend on our constituencies. More enterprising MPs enjoyed many more perquisites best left to your imagination. While I was embarrassed at being vastly overpaid for the job I was doing, they kept demanding more.
Today, out of 543 MPs in Lok Sabha, 315 are Crorepatis. That's 60%. 43 out of the 54 newly elected Rajya Sabha MPs are also millionaires. Their average declared assets are over Rs 25 Crore each. That's an awfully wealthy lot of people in whose hands we have vested our destiny.
The assets of your average Lok Sabha MP have grown from Rs 1.86 Crore in the last house to Rs 5.33 Crore. That's 200% more. And, as we all know, not all our MPs are known to always declare all their assets. Much of these exist in a colour not recognised by our tax laws. That's fine, I guess. Being an MP gives you certain immunities, not all of them meant to be discussed in a public forum.
If you think it pays to be in the ruling party, you are dead right: 7 out of 10 MPs from the Congress are Crorepatis. The BJP have 5. MPs from some of the smaller parties like SAD, TRS and JD (Secular) are all Crorepatis while the NCP, DMK, RLD, BSP, Shiv Sena, National Conference and Samajwadi Party have more Crorepatis than the 60% average.
Only the CPM and the Trinamool, the two Bengal based parties, don't field Crorepatis. The CPM has 1 correlate out of 16 MPs; the Trinamool has 7 out of 19. This shows in the state-wise average. West Bengal and Kerala have few correlate MPs while Punjab and Delhi have only correlate MPs and Haryana narrowly misses out on this distinction with one MP, poor guy, who's not a correlate.
Do MPs become richer in office? Sure they do. Statistics show that the average assets of 304 MPs who contested in 2004 and then re-contested last year grew 300%. And, yes, we're only talking about declared assets here.
But then, we can't complain. We are the ones who vote for the rich. Over 33% of those with assets above Rs 5 Crore won the last elections while 99.5% of those with assets below Rs 10 lakhs lost! Apart from West Bengal and the North East, every other state voted for correlate MPs. Haryana grabbed first place with its average MP worth Rs 18 Crore. Andhra is not far behind at 16.
But no, this is not enough for our MPs. It's not enough that they are rich, infinitely richer than those who they represent, and every term makes them even richer. It's not enough that they openly perpetuate their families in power. It's not enough that all their vulgar indulgences and more are paid for by you and me through backbreaking taxes. It's not enough that the number of days they actually work in Parliament are barely 60 in a year.
The rest of the time goes in squabbling and ranting. Now they want a 500%pay hike and perquisites quadrupled. The Government, to buy peace, has already agreed to a 300% raise but that's not good enough for our MPs. They want more, much more.
And no, I'm not even mentioning that 150 MPs elected last year have criminal cases against them, with 73 serious, very serious cases ranging from rape to murder.
Do you really think these people deserve to earn 104 times what the average Indian does.
Fantastic info, thank you u.k.raj. Thanks for sharing

Modern Human society is a society of the CHEATERS and
the CHEATED.
Sometimes WE ARE THE CHEATERS.
Sometimes WE ARE THE CHEATED.
- Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
All of us are one of the two at some moment or the other
in time and space.
No wonder we have developed disliking towards crorepati M.P. Cororepati becoming M.P. is not wrong and only corrupt Croerepati becoming M.P. is wrong. There is a vast difference between the two. Immediately I could hear voices which says which M.P. is not corrupt. Before I answer that question I would like to how many of us are not corrupt. How many of us socially responsible citizen.
When 2G, CWG , Adarsh Housing Issue and ISRO issue came we all cry from roof top and used all sorts of language against politicians. From where these politicians came from? . They are not ET. They are from our own society. The responsibility of producing such people totally lies with us. We are accountable for producing such politicians. Once these corruption issues comes out we become restless for few days or months and some people are send to Jail and there ends the issue. These people are corrupt and trained from Panchayat level it self. In all most all Panchayat the president is always corrupt and life style is rich and he has all sorts of habits.
Panchayat Becoming M.L.A.
When the above Panchat President visits his M.L.A he sees the power and opportunity to enjoy the life.
A person who has been eating simple food and some time chicken curry cooked by his wife or a women of his liking sees the tasty food of cosmopolitan city food of Chinese and various popular recipe of continental food etc. He also sees the good liquor like teachers, passport etc., contrary to Arrack and toddy which he sees in village. He sees women of different level of beauty than what he sees in village. (Porn gate is the result of his poor quality of life he led in his village)Now you know what happens to the Panchayat President. His desire to achieve all wordy pleasure increases and his next ambition is to become M.L.A. To achieve his goal he needs money. Every rupees send by tax payer to the coffer of the government find its way to Panchayat Union coffer
Now Panchayat president has fund at his disposal and his stooges also have their political ambition and they jointly loot the Panchayat fund with un -laid Road, Water Bodies and what not. Here the 30% - 40% commission starts and now they are graduated to a full time Politician. Remember, these Panchayat President’s are not paid by the government. Now people in Panchayat are aware their president is corrupt and they have no other alternative system. If Government pays Monthly Salary with proper amenities the corruption level will get reduced to 50% in one stroke. It has not been done even after 65 years of independence. How it is right. You want people to come and serve you with out meeting their basic needs. You want everything from the Panchayat President and you will part with nothing. The problem is with us and with our system.
We need resource to pay them. Right now they are stealing depending their capacity by way of Birth Certificate Death certificate, Community certificate, Ration Card, All sorts of contract etc. If people are ready to pay reasonable fees to the Government for issuance of these certificate the resources can be generated and these Panchayat President an be compensated for their services. Are we ready for that ?
SENIOR LEADERS
The senior leaders can remain as senior leader as long as they are able to control the above mentioned Panchayat President. Without these people winning the election is impossible. For any senior leaders to control so many people are highly difficult job. Here the M.L..A or District Secretary of the part comes in to picture. To keep these layers under their control or to their party it is necessary for them to keep them under the wrapper of Corruption. The best way to achieve the result is not to pay anything to their services.
WHERE THE BUG STOPS
The bug stops exactly at our senior leaders of the state and Central. Unless the economy is developed the above objective can not achieved. Precisely this what Dr.Manmohn Singh is trying to achieve. The 2G, CWG, every other corruption is having its roots in Panchayat level. Instead fighting the symptoms it is better to fight the disease. But unfortunately we are becoming restless and the opposition party is restive to capture power at the earliest and they oppose everything. When they are in opposition they oppose everything and once they become ruling party they reverse their stand. We, the people of this country, have short memory and at the time of election we cast vote according to the issue prevails at that point of time and the alternative we choose can not be better than the present one for obvious reason we are treating the disease no the cause.
The cause is we inherited a system from British to control the people. The system was not meant for development of people. Hence the politicians are controlling us. The solution lies in overhauling the entire system of governance. For this we need leaders with vision. Are we having enough leaders to do that. We need to do lot of social engineering and economic development to bring the desired political engineering. The time required for such change is not less than 25 years with clearly defined national agenda for this period which has to be followed by all political parties irrespective of their ideology. As long as we don’t have clear national agenda on the basis of need from the Panchayat level to national level we continue to be ruled by whims and fancies of few individual. Also proportionate representative system may alter the situation vastly
Unless we opt for governance based on national agenda things will not change. To bring such a system, the media can really play a role. Unless media realizes that people are interest in such phenomena they will continue to broadcast worthless program.
The least we can do is refuse to pay money for rightful services of the public servant and taking active role in our area political system or community system. If we fail to do these two, we can not change the situation and blaming the politician alone for this sorry state of affair is nothing but we are not accepting responsibility for our failure.
We get the leader what we deserve.
I read in a newspaper report that in Tamil Nadu people
drink annually Rs.16,000/= Crore. By extrapolating this in to national level the figure may be equal to our Union Budget. While traveling between Delhi to Chandigarh I noticed the situation is far worse than Tamil Nadu in terms of number of out let.
From the above our national Budget is just sufficient for people to consume alcohol. Even in this Business we could not create international brand other than King Fisher and Amrit Fusion.
Wake up India from your slumber ( Alcohol induced ).
Which is why I invested in liqour companies.
Actually with UID project lot of liquid cash will flow
into bank accounts of masses from govt. This cash will
be used to purchase more of liqour than foodgrains.
Liqour companies will make profits like
IT companies did all this while. :) Out of the box
logic. Next decade will belong to Alcoholic beverage
companies.
Jayaraman Bad karma is increasing in geometric proportions.
The result of this bad karma will be bad karmaphalas in
geometric proportions. So we can only expect situation
to go from bad to worse as time passes. We and the
next generations will be a part of all this. There is
no escape from the Law of karma!
we should learn many things from Bengalis.I lived there
for about a year. They wont pay a rupee more for cycle
riksha but they will go only by cycle riksha even the
distance is half a kilometer.Because they wants to help
him.Everyday they used to buy flowers for rs.2.They prey
Sani baghavan everyday. You can see sani temples in every
corners of the street.Upto last march 2011 the cost of
tea was only rs.2.The vegetables are very cheap. If someone
increase price, they wont purchase it.For drinking tea
they use only munchatti. For curd they use munchatti.
Because they wants to help Kuyavar community.Like this
I can add many things.Hence, there is no crorepathy MPs
