Dear Ilango sir....
I just started visiting ur blog in the past 2-3 days & found it pretty useful.
However looking at the above fii trading activity i'm a bit confused. Can you tell me why there is a difference between the two trading figures (Net Purchase/Sales)...the one posted by you:
http://www.moneycontrol.com/stocks/marketstats/fii_dii_activity/index.php?sel_month=201003
& the other one
http://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockmarket/foreigninstitutionalinvestors/16/20/activity/FII
Is it because the former presents trading figures in secondary and later one presents the trading figures done in both primary & secondary market or something else.
Secondly we say that majorly FII inflow/outflow drive the Indian markets. However looking at the above figures right from April 2006 to current date fii's have been net sellers to the tune of -91,017.22 crores whereas during the same period dii's have been net buyer to the tune of 136,933.49 crores. So what to conclude from the above figures. (If it's because above figures does not include primary mkt data I dont have further doubts)
Kindly clarify.
Waiting for ur reply....Thanks
